The liner brush made of kolinsky hair in a chrome-plated copper clip is a variation of the round brushes with a very long pile gathered in a narrow bundle.

The lacquer impregnation will protect against moisture penetration inside the handle, eliminating the possibility of warping the wood. The visible part of the pile serves as a reservoir for the paint, which allows for a clear line without gaps and re-filling.

This brush is used for lettering, elements in botanical illustration, outlines, ornaments and calligraphy, which requires some practice in hand placement and pressure on the writing part. It is suitable for working with watercolor, gouache and other types of paints.
