Artists‘ Clear Picture Varnish // Spray, 400 ml // by Daler-Rowney
This Picture Varnish by Daler Rowney is colourless and ideally suited to protect your oil paintings and acrylic paintings. It gives a clear, even finish and will not bloom or yellow. The colourless film builds a protective layer over your painting and its glossy sheen enhances the vibrancy of the colours. Suitable as varnish for retouching and as final varnish.

The application of this varnish is quick and easy. To achieve the best result, lay your painting flat, hold the can about 45 cm away from your artwork and spray evenly back and forth across the painting until you’ve covered the complete surface. If you want to apply several layers of varnish wait for every layer to completely dry before applying the next layer. The varnish dries colourless and you can continue to work on top of it if you wish.
If you want to apply the Artists’ Clear Picture Varnish as final varnish to your oil painting please make sure that your artwork has dried at least 6 months prior to varnishing it.
