Paper stump is a stick made of tightly twisted thin paper. It is an indispensable and useful tool for working with pastels, charcoal, black-graphite pencil.
Paper stump is intended for correction of light and shadow in a drawing, elimination of particles of graphite, pastel or charcoal, creation of a gradient with graphite.
Paper stump is used as a blender in drawing with a black-graphite pencil. If during the work the tip is blunted or if the trowel has absorbed a lot of pigment and needs cleaning, you can use an ordinary nail file or sandpaper to renew the tip.
