Universal acrylic primer Malevich is designed to prepare canvas, wood, cardboard, papier-mache, organite, glass, stone, metal or plastic for painting. Suitable for painting with oil, acrylic, gouache, tempera and other colors. Provides a strong bond between the paint layer and the surface of the base.
Black primer makes it easier to emphasize highlights and light areas of the work due to the contrast. If necessary, the mass can be diluted with water to the desired consistency. When drying, the art primer forms a water-resistant elastic matte film of white color, giving the primed surface a uniform density and roughness.
Before applying the primer the surface should be cleaned of dirt, dust and grease, wood should be sanded beforehand, canvas should be glued.
The primer is applied with a wide flat brush or roller in several layers, each subsequent layer - after complete drying of the previous one.
Drying should be carried out in natural conditions. It is not recommended to speed up the drying process, the coating may crack. You can start painting about 24 hours after the last layer has dried. The drying time of the primer may vary depending on the thickness of the layer, the nature of the surface itself and the area to be covered.
